WhatsApp is one of the most popular free messenger applicationwhich is widely used around the world. It works on multiple platforms like Android and iPhone devices. Along with sending a simple text message, users can also send multimedia images, documents, audios, and videos in WhatsApp.
Recently, WhatsApp introduced Dark mode for users and is finally official for both Android and iPhone devices! Unlike offering a pure black and white color scheme, WhatsApp has designed a dark grey background along with elements in an off-white color to cut down the glare and improve contrast and readability. Users on Android 10 and iOS 13 will be able to experience WhatsApp Dark mode by enabling the dark mode from the system settings of their devices. However, users on older Android and iOS versions will be required to manually enable dark mode by going through the theme preferences of the WhatsApp app.
Dark mode on WhatsApp aims to minimize eye fatigue thereby maintaining readability and information hierarchy in mind, rather than showing pure black and white color tones. The company claims that the new theme helps users focus their attention on each screen on WhatsApp.
